Again Jesus said, “Simon, son of John, do you truly love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” John 21:16

Our pastoral care giving team is made up of pastors, staff and church members. Our goal is to be used by God to transform the lives of hurting people by sharing the gospel with them in very tangible ways. We have a desire to come alongside people in crisis as well as folks who need support in their daily lives. We work with people who are lonely, parishioners going through radiation and chemotherapy; those who are walking through grief; those who are dealing with the loss of career hopes and dreams. We offer listening, prayer ministry, home communion services and visits to those who can’t make it to church. We have resources available for those who need financial counseling, divorce recovery, grief ministry, marriage preparation and support, and more.

Geoffrey Chapman - Senior Pastor
When I came to Christ about three decades ago, I was so grateful for a fresh start in my life, for God's "sweeping it all clean" forgiveness, and for a life changing relationship with Jesus.

There is nothing in the world like discovering his love, his grace, and his immense purpose for our lives.
That is what we are all about here at St Stephens... "God-Changed Lives" is our theme!

Our prayer is that wave after wave of people who are tired and restless, who are scarred and broken, who are fed up and unsatisfied with what our culture has to offer will join us in discovering the joy and renewal that come from a new relationship with Jesus Christ. And our prayer is that we will release back into our homes and our neighborhoods, into our workplaces and our city, into the world near and far wave after wave of disciples who have made "God-Changed Lives" their theme!

Bill Henry - Associate Pastor
It has been such a blessing to be called by God “back” to St. Stephen’s.  Having both grown up in this church family, my wife Dana and I feel a strong sense of God’s hand at work in our return and count it a privilege to serve the Lord at this time, in this place.  We were blessed to have been able to serve in 2 wonderful parishes over the past 8 years; one in Florida and one in South Carolina. Serving in those 2 places helped us to identify our passion to be used by Jesus Christ as He transforms people’s lives. That’s a central reason why the St. Stephen’s vision of “God Changed Lives” resonates so well for us!

I look forward to continuing the process of reuniting with old friends and meeting new friends.  Dana and I, and our kids; Wilson, Annie, and Charlie, look forward to many years serving the Lord together with you all here at St. Stephen’s and in the Sewickley community!

Debby Frantti - Pastoral Care
It is a great privilege to work with our pastors and lay ministers to care for the people of our church family. We hear needs expressed and receive prayer requests from our church members daily. We pray for these people and respond to their needs as well as many outside our circle because of our longing to be like Jesus. It is a great challenge, but always a joy to comfort and care for one another. We desire to have every person included in an ongoing circle of prayer and care.

Steve Matson - Student Ministries
Years ago I gave up a dream of becoming a pro golfer and God replaced it with another vision. The vision now is that I might be used by God to infect as many students as I can with a passion and a deep desire for God. It is also to help them discover even a slice of who God wants and intends them to be. It is fulfilling for me to watch students get excited about God and discover that He loves and cares about them. I am especially excited that God has chosen me for such a time as this to be a part of doing this at St. Stephen's Church.

Dawn Bates - Children's Ministries
Serving the children and families of our community is a life long dream and my door is always open to help parents and children learn how they can be closer to Jesus in their daily walk.
