Grief Ministry
Griefshare is a ministry to those who have suffered loss through the death of a loved one.  It is a safe place to meet with others who are in the same situation.  Through the use of a beautiful video presentation, small group discussions and prayer, you are encouraged to work through this difficult season.  You are welcome at any stage in your grief process.

The next Griefshare meetings will take place in the Library at 7pm beginnining Monday, October 8 and will last 4 to 6 weeks. There is no charge for this class. Please call or email Debby Frantti at 412.741.1790 to register.

People Helper's Ministry
Touching this world in a tangible way with the love of Jesus Christ by reaching people in times of need.

People Helper's Ministry has quietly flourished for more than 20 years at St. Stephen's Church. Our primary mission is first and foremost to help meet the needs of people in our congregations; then the broader family of believers, the community in which we live, and finally to the person who God brings our way.

We help connect people to the resources they might need to be supported through difficult times or a period of special need. We facilitate connections to specialized help such as counseling, healing ministries, shelters and food and clothing banks. We have limited resources to offer the person in financial need, believing that money rarely solves a problem, but at times it is needed to provide relief.

People Helper's Ministry is supported in three ways.

  • First, by the financial gifts given by individuals.
  • Second, by gifts of time and abilities, as well as in-kind gifts offered by a wide array of people.
  • Last, by the Book Corner, our parish book and gift store that donates 100% of its profit to support PHM.

The combined gifts of individuals, and store profits, along with the gifts of ability and time provide a strong foundation by which we are able to touch lives for God.
