Fundraiser For Jake Hubsch

Apples of Gold
Apples of Gold is a 6-week mentoring program and Bible study based on Titus 2:3-5 where older women in the church are called to nurture younger women. The ministry starts Wednesday, Sept. 15, and runs through Oct. 20. Young women interested in participating may call Maxine Holmes at 724-375-6733 for more information.
Family Bike Ride
Please join us on Wednesday, August 11, for a leisurely bike ride through the tree-lined streets of Sewickley. All ages welcome! Meet in St. Stephen’s parking lot at 6:30 and be ready to ride with HELMETS on! We will stop for refreshments along the way. Have questions? Donate Books for Prisoners
Help reach prisoners by donating quality magazines and Christian books for the Allegheny County Jail. Drop off your items in small boxes or bags under the large yellow sign in the coatroom. Videos and DVDs not needed. For more info., contact Nancy Crowe at 412-668-0817.
Tech Team Needed
We have immediate openings for sound board operators, lighting technicians, and PowerPoint operators to serve on a rotating basis for our services. Applicants must be 14 and up, and will be trained. Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Saturday, September 18, 7pm, it’s St. Stephen’s Night at PNC Park! Our choir will open the game with the National Anthem. Fireworks after the game. Tickets: $12 before Sept. 1; $15 after that. Children's Ministry
Wednesday Play Time at War Memorial!
Moms of Preschoolers, please join us at War Memorial Park every Wednesday at 11:30am throughout the month of August for a time of fun and fellowship. Feel free to pack a picnic lunch and don't forget a blanket. Stay for as little or as long as you would like, as we enjoy one another's company and our children burn off energy. Community Bible Study
CBS begins a new class year on Thursday, September 16, 2010. Our program includes individual study, small group discussion, teaching, and fellowship for adults. Children from infants up to preteens are taught engaging Bible curriculum by loving, trained teachers. Children must be preregistered to ensure a spot. Classes fill quickly. Join with people of all ages and denominations to study the Book of Revelation in a comfortable class appropriate for all. CBS meets Thursday mornings from 9:15 -11:15 in Grace Commons. Buy a Brick, Help a Family
Want to make a difference? Your donation of $20 will “buy” a brick that students from St. Stephen’s will use in building a home for a needy family during our mission trip to Mexico. The bricks will be part of the walkway that welcomes guests to the new home. Stop by the table in the lobby after the service to make a donation and buy a brick.

Save your prom dresses! Side by Side is collecting prom dresses for Young Lives' Beaver County (teen moms) 2011 prom. Place dresses in the coat room near the SBS collection box.
Women's Ministry
Women's Retreat - Living Beyond Yourself;
Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit
Barb Johns, using material from Beth Moore's study, will lead us on an exploration of living beyond ourselves by living in the power of the Holy Spirit. The retreat will begin Friday evening, October 1, and conclude late afternoon on Saturday, October 2. It will be held in a modern and comfortable lodge at YMCA Camp KonOKwee, located just outside of Cranberry. Look for more details and registration information in late August.
Christy House
The Christy House is now closed for the summer, however food and fellowship will resume on September 10.
Study In The Garden
Take advantage of the slower pace of summer to join us for our summer potluck/testimony/video series. This year we will be working through "I Saw the Lord—A Wake-Up Call for Your Heart" by Anne Graham Lotz. Each week stands on its own, so come when you are able. You can join us for the potluck and study, or just come for the study. No registration or homework is required, though an optional workbook is available for a cost of $9. The schedule for the summer is as follows:

Tuesday Teaching Series
Beginning in September, we will launch a new Bible teaching series on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11:30. Teachers will include Theresa Newell, Amy Van Buskirk and Julie McCormick, among others. This is a great time to increase your Bible knowledge, deepen your walk with God, and strengthen relationships with women of our church
