Sermon Podcast

Try our New sermon podcast! Now you can take St. Stephen's with you whereever you go.

Even if you don't have an mp3 player or iPod you can still get the sermon podcast and listen on your computer at your convenience. It's a great way to share St. Stephen's with your friends, too.

Have an email delivered to you when a new sermon is available:

Setting up to receive the sermon podcast in iTunes is by far the easiest way to receive a podcast and copy it to your iPod or MP3 Player. (These instructions are written for iTunes version 7).

1st. Download the iTunes software. Using iTunes will allow the podcast to be added to your system and begin listening automatically...and easily lets you sync with your iPod.

2nd. Subscribe to the podcast. Open the iTunes software and select the "Advanced" menu option, click the "Subscribe to Podcast... " button. Enter the sermon feed:

into the URL in the "Subscribe to podcast " window, then click "OK."

iTunes then automatically downloads the current podcast. At this point, you can just double-click on the podcast and it will play inside of iTunes.

3rd. Set it up to automatically download the new sermons. Select the "Edit" menu option, then "Preferences..." option, then the "Podcasts" tab. Here you can schedule iTunes to check for new episodes a variety of different ways. When you're finished, select "OK."

If you will be listening on your computer, you're all done!
If you will be listening on your iPod or MP3 Player, there's one more thing to do. Here it is:

4th. If you have an iPod, connect it and Sync. Be sure to connect your iPod to your computer, then select the "File" menu option, then "Sync iPod." That's all there is to it!

If you have an MP3 Player, connect it and open an Explorer window (in Windows, press the window Start button then 'E'). Navigate to the folder on the MP3 Player where you want to copy the sermon. Then just drag and drop the sermon from iTunes to the MP3 Player with your mouse.

That's all there is to it!
