student ministries

Student Ministries at St. Stephen's Church
is a place where students (6th-12th) learn, search, and unwind. We are committed to molding students into those who demon-strate a life-long commitment to Christ on a daily basis. We want to see students become passionate about the things of God.

Most of our activities take place in the Henning House located across the parking lot from the main church and auditorium.

momentum
momentum is the high school students (9th-12th) small group ministry that runs each week. Guys and girls are broken up into separate groups that get together on either Sunday nights from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. which meet at different homes in Sewickley or Sunday mornings before Student Worship.

An optional dinner from 6:15-7:00 p.m. is offered to those who meet Sunday evenings in the Henning House

pulse
Every Sunday evening Middle School students (6th-8th) are invited to an optional dinner from 6:15-7:00 p.m. in the Henning House.  From there students are plugged-in to a program from 7:00–8:00 p.m. that consists of a hodgepodge of team building games. They are then given the opportunity to hear a Christ-centered relevant message. This is our primary evening program for middle school students to get plugged-into to strengthen or begin their relationship with Christ as well as to hang out with friends.

3rd sunday
On the third Sunday of each month momentum and pulse  gather together as one large group for a worship service in the Henning House from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Singing, games, testimonies, and dramas are all part of the evening. Optional dinner from 6:15-7:00 p.m.

club 67
Club 67 is for all students in grades 6 and 7. Each week we dig into the scriptures to learn about the giants of faith, about how to live as Christians, about the life and work of Jesus Christ.  We meet on the second floor of Henning House every Sunday morning at 10:15. We have occasional service days, theater outings and pool parties.

middle school girls bible study
Every Wednesday after school from 3:30-4:30 all Middle School girls are invited to gather on the first floor of the Henning House for bible study.  This time is designed for girls to spend time with their friends, enjoy some snacks, and take a refreshing and unique look at the bible. All Middle School girls are encouraged to come.

student worship
Every Sunday (except the third Sunday of every month), students (6th-12th) gather on the third floor of the Henning House for a worship service at 11:15 a.m. designed for them. Any and all middle school and high school students are invited to come. A typical service consists of our student band leading us in worship songs, a video, drama and a relevant message for students given by our Student Ministries staff as well as guest speakers. We also regularly invite one of our Priests to come and celebrate communion with us.

Parents are always welcome to come and worship with us. Come sit in the back and see what we do!
